How to Register as a Vendor in Saudi Arabia

Registering as a vendor in Saudi Arabia involves several stages across legal, financial and technical compliance. This guide explains the exact steps required.

Step 1: Obtain or Verify Your Commercial Registration (CR)

Your CR must be valid, with correct business activity codes that match the services you'll supply. Check that your CR address, authorised signatory and share structure are current. Many rejections are caused by CR data mismatches.

Step 2: Complete ZATCA VAT Registration

All vendors supplying VAT-registered buyers must have an active ZATCA certificate. Ensure your VAT filing is current — procurement portals check this in real time.

Step 3: Obtain GOSI Compliance Certificate

The General Organisation for Social Insurance (GOSI) certificate confirms all your employees are properly registered for social insurance. This is mandatory for all major portals.

Step 4: Achieve Nitaqat (Saudization) Compliance

Your Nitaqat status must be Green or Platinum. Yellow or Red status will disqualify your application on most portals. Analytix reviews your Saudization status before submission.

Step 5: Prepare Financial Documents

Most portals require 2 years of audited financial statements. Ensure your auditor is licensed by SOCPA (Saudi Organisation for Chartered and Professional Accountants).

Step 6: Submit via the Correct Portal

Each buyer has its own portal — SACS for Aramco, SAP SRM for SABIC, Etimad for government. Analytix handles portal navigation, category selection and submission management.
